Shihan Ogura Yasunori, the Vice Chief Instructor of the Japan Karate Association, was born in Hokkaido, Japan, on January 21, 1958. He studied at Taisho University and holds the rank of 8th Dan. In 1986, he won the kumite division at the 29th All Japan Karate Championship. Ogura Shihan is an excellent technician.
Shihan Okuma Koichiro possesses exceptional theoretical and technical knowledge. He travels the world sharing his expertise and has been a valued friend of JKA-SKC Australasia for many years. Okuma Shihan was born in Kyoto and attended Dokkyo University.
Sensei Kurihara Hidemoto is a kata specialist. He won the 67th JKA All Japan Kata Championship and secured the silver medal at the 2024 Funakoshi Gichin World Championship in Takasaki. Born on October 7, 1993, in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, he pursued his studies at Komazawa University.
Sessions will cover fundamental techniques, kata, and kumite concepts.
All enthusiastic karateka are welcome to participate in this seminar.
